Assessments 

The Tax Assessment Office of the Washington County Tax Revenue Department maintains the ad valorem (at value) real property tax assessment system for Washington County. The function of the office is the discovery of all real property within the county. This includes the maintenance of all real property, updating, revisions, deed analyzing and transfers, mapping, and reviewing existing and new construction. Maintaining the assessment system includes review of all building and demolition permits issued by county municipal governments, field review of construction and demolitions, setting property assessments, and providing notice of changes in assessments to our taxpayers.

Our goal is to provide for the uniformity of property tax assessments in Washington County and assure that all citizens are treated courteously and fairly.
