Involved With the Community
The Washington County Sheriff's Office is proud to be involved with the community. As the chief law enforcement officer of the county, the safety and welfare of the citizens is our primary concern. It is essential that the citizens we serve be participants in that effort. In that regard, the sheriff offers numerous programs and up-to-date information to facilitate that participation.

The following are just a few of the educational  programs offered by the Sheriff's office:

  • D.A.R.E. K-12 
  • STOP THE BLEED
  • ALICE (Active shooter training)
  • SAP Certified 
  • Social Media Presentations (Student, Parent and Educators) 
  • Vaping and Marijuana Presentations (Student, Parents and Educators) "Hidden in plain Sight" Drug prevention program for Parents 
  • Alcohol Safety
    Firearms division - 2nd Amendment

Community Programs include

  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt "Hop in the park"
