Controller

The Controller's Office's duties are primarily fiscal in nature. Our office is responsible for processing payroll, accounts payable, and revenue for all county row offices and departments. In addition, the Controller's Office is responsible for all financial record keeping and audit duties. Our office also performs audits for row offices, all county district justice offices, and various other departments as required or requested. We are also responsible for posting all county revenue and maintaining all financial reports.

Other Duties

Our accounts payable department processes vendor payments for the county by verifying bid prices and contract terms as well as confirming proper authorization for payment. Our payroll department processes payment for over 300 salaried employees, over 500 hourly employees covered by seven different union contracts, and over 800 retirees. In addition to the above fiscal duties, the controller also sits on various boards including Salary Board, Prison Board, and Retirement Board.
